Banca Popolare Agricola di Mutuo Credito was founded in 1870. Later renamed Banca Popolare di Crema, the Bank developed a reputation as a driver of the local economy, without however compromising on its original calling as a mutual cooperative bank. It has in fact retained an exclusively local approach and centres its activities on its Members, customer service, and the local community.
At the beginning of the new millennium, the Crema-based bank, which in the meantime also established itself in the Brescia area, was purchased by Banca Popolare di Lodi.
Within the Banco Popolare Group, the Bank is a point of reference for local customers and promotes financial activities targeted at the socio-economic development of Crema and surrounding areas.
